Why Cyprus websites need a different kind of audit

Most automated SEO tools score a site on generic technical checks. They do not know which pages bring your enquiries, whether your Greek pages are indexed, or whether your business details match your Google Business Profile. Those are often the issues that matter most for a Cyprus business.

This audit starts with your services, markets and goals, then checks whether search engines can find the right pages, whether those pages match how buyers search in English and Greek, and whether visitors can easily become enquiries.

Illustrative example, not a client result

Example finding: Greek pages that Google never indexes

Finding: A Limassol professional-services firm has English and Greek versions of its company formation page. Both declare the English URL as canonical and there are no hreflang tags, so Google indexes only the English page and Greek searches show a competitor.

Why it matters: The Greek page targets searches local clients use, but it cannot rank while it tells Google another page is the original.

Recommended fix: Self-referencing canonical on each version, reciprocal hreflang between them, a Greek title and meta description written for Greek search, and a link to the Greek page from the Greek navigation.

How to check it worked: The Greek URL shows as indexed with its own canonical in Search Console, and impressions for the targeted Greek searches begin to appear.

    What the work includes

    What the audit checks

Every audit covers six areas. Findings are ranked by the commercial value of the pages affected and the effort to fix them, so you know what to do first.

    Step 1 of 6

    Technical health and indexing

Indexing status of key pages, robots.txt, noindex tags, canonicals, redirects, duplicate URLs, mobile speed on key templates and structured data.

    Who this is for

    A good fit

    • Cyprus businesses whose website gets little organic traffic or few enquiries from search
    • Companies with English and Greek versions of their site, or planning one
    • Teams about to redesign or migrate a website
    • Businesses that want a clear, prioritised plan before committing to ongoing SEO

    Not a good fit

    • Anyone looking for an automated report with hundreds of generic warnings
    • Businesses that cannot give access to Search Console or analytics
    • Anyone wanting a guarantee of rankings after the audit

    What working together looks like

    Phase 1 of 3

    Step 1: Access and goals

A short call about your services, markets and goals. You give read access to Search Console, analytics and, if relevant, Google Business Profile.

    • Who does the audit

Antriana carries out the audit herself. Findings are written in plain business language, with technical notes your developer can act on.

    • What you receive

A written report of prioritised findings, each with the pages affected, why it matters, the recommended fix, who should do it and how to check it worked, plus a walkthrough call.

    • What we need from you

Read access to Search Console and analytics, a list of your most important services and markets, and someone who can answer questions about the website.

    • After the audit

You can implement the findings with your own team or developer, or ask us to help. Any follow-on work is scoped separately and agreed in writing.

    Your questions, answered

Is this the same as your ongoing SEO service?

No. The audit is a defined review with a written report and walkthrough. Ongoing SEO, covered on our SEO Cyprus page, includes implementation and monthly reporting.

Does the audit include Greek pages?

Yes. We review the English and Greek setup together, including whether Greek pages should exist for services where local buyers search in Greek.

How is this different from a free online SEO checker?

Automated checkers list technical warnings without knowing which pages matter to your business. This audit is done by a person, checks how buyers search in English and Greek, and ranks findings by commercial impact.

Do we have to continue with ongoing SEO afterwards?

No. The audit gives you a plan you can act on with your own team. If you want help implementing it, we scope that separately.
